Class Projects
At UNH I have completed capstones and projects. I completed my Information Systems and Business Analytics Capstone course working with the client Red River. I completed the Marketing Capstone course working with the client Women's Wellness Exchange. In my Social Media Marketing course I worked with the UNH Women's Hockey Team.
ISBA Capstone
Corporate Project Experience is a capstone experience class at UNH for students to work with real clients. My team of 5 worked with the client Red River. Red River is a technology transformation company with technical expertise, strategic partnerships and complete end-to-end support working in commercial, federal, and SLED markets. We focused on the SLED, state, local governments and educational institutions, market. Within the SLED market we have built Red River an ideal customer profile including a target customer. We identified the problem as the Cisco Networking Academy market being saturated. We were given access to Red Riveres current customer data base and found it is mainly made up of Upper and Post Secondary education institutions, the top 5 states were New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and the majority of customers are within proximity to major urban areas or are a part of the SLED programs.
We found that Texas was the ideal customer that Red River should be targeting. Texas has 5 major metropolitan areas; Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, College Station, and Austin. Texas is in the top 5 for the number of post secondary institutions. Finally, Texas is rising in number of students attending post-secondary institutions and technology job growth.
Marketing Capstone
Marketing Workshop is a capstone experience class at UNH for students to work with real clients. My team of 6 is working with the client Women's Wellness Exchange (WWE). We are tasked with gaining insights from Tracey's (the owner) members, suggestions for improving the website and SEO, and coming up with PR and social media ideas. Within my team, we split up into subgroups where I am on the website and SEO group.
For the SEO group we dove into WWE website analytics through SEMRush, Google Analytics, and Brilliant Directory. From the analytics that we gathered; we came up with 11 suggestions. Now we are in the second half of the semester and are implementing these recommendations starting with the meta descriptions. We are also analyzing email campaigns for both Members and Customers to understand best subject lines and best layout for clickable elements using Constant Contacts. I have designed a cover for our Marketing Report using Canva.
Social Media Marketing
In this class, we are partnering with UNH Athletics. Each student group was assigned to a different UNH team to identify their unique wants and needs – coming up with a social media marketing plan that will be delivered at the end of the semester! My group was assigned to the UNH Women's Hockey team. We met with the head coach and identified the goals for each of the social media platforms and challenges of each. From here, we analyze the strategies of each social media platform and came up with a content calendar that addresses the goals and challenges the coach identified for the playing season and off season. I created a Player Profile Instagram post (shown on side) that the team can incorporate for all their players.
